    Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 7pm: Chamber Music Charleston Edisto Island Concert

    The Presbyterian Church on Edisto, 2164 Hwy. 174, Edisto

    Chamber Music Charleston presents a special concert in remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001 and to honor active and retired military, police, fire and emergency service officers.  Musicians perform works for wind octet as actor Clarence Felder recites poetry of American poet Walt Whitman

     

    Thursday, September 15 at 7:30pm: Mozart in the South Festival Opening Concert

    Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul, 126 Coming Street

    Musicians of Chamber Music Charleston perform Mozart’s Divertimento in D Major, Copland’s Appalachian Spring and Brahms’ Serenade No. 1

     

    Sunday, September 18.  Grounds open at 5:30, picnic judging at 6:30, concert at 7pm

    Mozart in the South Festival Finale

    Middleton Place,  4300 Ashley River Road

    Pack a picnic and join us for the festive Mozart In The South Finale at historic Middleton Place. Music to be performed includes Mozart’s Serenade in E Flat for Wind Octet, Dvorak Slavonic Dances and Scenes from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.

    Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 4pm: Chamber Music Charleston in Summerville

    St. John the Beloved, 28 Sumter Avenue Summerville

    Musicians of Chamber Music Charleston perform Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 2 and Bliss Oboe Quintet in the sanctuary of St. John the Beloved.

     

    Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 7:30pm: Chamber Music Charleston Memminger Concert

    Memminger Auditorium, 56 Beaufain Street

    Chamber Music Charleston’s newest concert series opens with “A Celebration of Germany.”  Musicians of CMC perform Bach’s “Brandenberg Concerto No. 4” and Brahms “Sextet for Strings in G Major”.  

     

    Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 7pm: Chamber Music Charleston Edisto Island Concert

    The Presbyterian Church on Edisto, 2164 Hwy. 174, Edisto

    Chamber Music Charleston brings chamber music to the intimate, historic Presbyterian Church on Edisto in a four concert series.  This performance features “The Art of the String Quartet” with musicians performing Franck’s “Quartet in c minor” and Shostakovich’s “String Quartet No. 1 in C Major”. 

     

    Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 7pm: Chamber Music Charleston Edisto Island Concert

    The Presbyterian Church on Edisto, 2164 Hwy. 174, Edisto

    Chamber Music Charleston brings chamber music to the intimate, historic Presbyterian Church on Edisto in a four concert series.  This performance features music by Bach, Haydn, Pergolesi and Villa Lobos for flutes, bassoon and harpsichord.

      

    Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 7:30pm: Chamber Music Charleston Memminger Concert

    Memminger Auditorium, 56 Beaufain Street

    Chamber Music Charleston’s newest concert series continues with “A Celebration of France.”  Musicians of CMC perform music of Ravel, Chabrier and Faure.

    Musicians of Chamber Music Charleston perform music for piano, winds and strings in the sanctuary of St. John the Beloved.

    Chamber Music Charleston’s newest concert series concludes with “A Celebration of America.”  Musicians of CMC perform Gershwin’s “Summertime” and Ives String Quartet No. 1 “From the Salvation Army”.
